Seven-question record check

Is your vehicle record ready for a lemon law review?

This neutral checklist does not determine eligibility. It identifies useful documents and factual gaps before you request a vehicle-specific review.

Answer what you know today

1. Was the vehicle purchased or leased in California, or is there another California connection?
2. Do you have a written manufacturer, dealer, or certified pre-owned warranty that may cover the concern?
3. Was the concern reported to an authorized repair facility while relevant coverage was in effect?
4. Has the same or a closely related problem returned after one or more repair visits?
5. Do your final repair orders accurately show the complaint, dates, mileage, findings, and work performed?
6. Can you identify the days the vehicle was unavailable, including open and close dates for each visit?
7. Does the unresolved condition meaningfully affect the vehicle’s use, value, or safety?

Documents that usually make a review more efficient

  • Purchase or lease agreement
  • Written warranty booklet and extensions
  • Every final repair order
  • Current mileage and first-repair mileage
  • Dealer and manufacturer communications
  • Towing, rental, photos, videos, and warning records

A checklist cannot decide the legal result.
